Typically, the pop of a cork shooting out of a bottle of champagne marks the moment ceremony ends and celebration begins. Kelsey wanted her entire celebration to feel like a glass of champagne - glowing and bubbling with fun. She wanted to balance the joy of a classic look with kicking tradition out where it wasn't needed. An incredible team of vendors was assembled to bring their vision to life and Brides just had to take note.
Taking inspiration from the classic architecture of the building, Sugared Fig Paperie designed an invitation utilizing navy blues and ornate frame details, an element that continued in the design of the lantern seating charts that lit the way to guests’ tables for dinner. Kelsey and Daniel both expressed their loves of oranges, reds, and yellows so we focused on that color palette for their florals, while keeping blues as a common neutral in the linens and stationery pieces. While the traditional church setting and regal reception space were more formal in nature, the feeling of the day was all about fun. There is a story in the Bible about a wedding and a lot of water being turned into a lot of fine wine. So despite a formal space, joy and celebration filled the air. The night was capped off in a confetti-filled exit, as the newlyweds grinned from ear to ear.
