Moody minimalism at the emerson
When our friends at Coral Lane Specialty Event Rentals decided to open a venue, I knew we had to visit. The Emerson venue is located in Kaufman, Texas and is a beautiful, modern space boasts clean lines that lends to so many different styles. With Ashley L Turner, Root and Bloom Floral, and Illustrated Weddings, we created a soft and dramatic shoot. The Alison Webb dress from Wed Bridal Boutique added to the dark, moody and dramatic vibes. For colors, I chose black napkins with smoke colored plates and dramatic glasses from Posh Couture Rentals. The black napkins tied the entire design together, and the velvet tablecloth in seafoam from La Tavola Linen stood out against the white and black of the venue. To offset all the drama, we chose a soft floral color pallet of white and mauve with lots of pops of yellows, burgundies and oranges.
